MERRILL, Wis. – William "Donny" Lane, 67, of Merrill, formerly of Wakefield, Mich., passed away peacefully Saturday morning, Oct. 29, 2016.
Donny was born on April 7, 1949, in Wakefield, a son of William "Bud" and Beverly (Sundell) Lane. He grew up in Milwaukee and returned to Wakefield in 1973.
Donny is survived by a son, Shannon (Robin), Irma; his stepdaughter, Lynn (Gilberto) Rodriguez, Merrill; four grandchildren, Daniel, Jordan, Maria and Monica; a brother, Dennis (JoAnne), Hazelhurst; a sister, Donna (Ron) Dassow, Elkhart, Ind.; his former wife, Linda Lane, Merrill; other loving relatives; and a host of friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; and Bud's second wife, Audrey Lane.
In accordance with Donny's wishes, cremation has taken place.
A private family service will be held.
Inurnment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jerald Rocco, owner and manager of Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., in Wakefield. Condolences may be expressed online at lakesidememorialchapel.com.
