WAKEFIELD, Mich. – Viola S. Winkka, 85, of Wakefield, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011, in Wakefield.
She was born on Jan. 22, 1926, in Wakefield, the daughter of Matt and Jennie Wuorinen.
Viola was united in marriage with Oscar Winkka.
She is survived by several stepsisters and stepbrothers, Irene Hewitt, Eleanor Turula, Matt Wuorinen, Kenneth Wuorinen, Linda Anderson and Jerry Wuorinen.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents, husband and stepbrother, Leslie Wuorinen.
Funeral services and burial will be held at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery.
Viola's family would like to thank Dr. Jim Rocco and the Gogebic Medical Care Facility for their loving care and concern.
The family is being served by Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., Wakefield.
