Susy Gusman

WAKEFIELD, Mich. – Susy Gusman, 70, of Wakefield, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022, after a long-courageous battle with multiple sclerosis.

Susy was born on Jan. 30, 1952, in Wakefield, a daughter of Nels M. and Edith Elizabeth (Mikkola) Krook. She attended Wakefield High School and graduated in 1970.

On July 21, 1972, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dan Gusman, in Bessemer.

She loved cats, enjoyed riding in their 1934 Ford Coupe and was an excellent cook.

Susy is survived by her beloved husband, Dan; three sisters, JoAnne (Al) Hallberg, Darlene Gayan and Greeta Arndt; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Joyce Lyles.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 28, at 2 p.m., preceded by visitation at 1:30 p.m., at All Saints Lutheran Church, 1202 Putnam St., in Wakefield, with the Rev. Kay S. Richter officiating.

A celebration of Susy's life will take place at the Wakefield American Legion Geroux Post 11, 605 River St., following the service.
