WOODRUFF, Wis. – Susan Kay (Duranso) Kelley, 68, of Palm Desert, Calif., passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, Aug. 18, 2018, at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, after a long battle with cancer.
Susan was born on Sept. 29, 1949, in Winchester, a daughter of Earl John and Rose Ann (Miller) Duranso. She attended Lakeland Union High School in Minocqua and graduated in 1967.
In 1974, Susan was united in marriage to the love of her life, James Todd Kelley.
Susan is survived by a sister, Nancy Meier, Winchester; a brother, Dan (Adele) Duranso, Manitowish Waters; and her sister-in-law, June Duranso, Winchester; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband, J. Todd, in 2011; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Earl Duranso, Richard and Joan Duranso and William Duranso; and a sister and two brothers-in-law, Marlene and George Hartford and Jacob Meier.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at the Manitowish Waters Community Presbyterian Church, Highway 51 at Marathon Road, Manitowish Waters, with the Rev. Nancy Russell officiating.
A private interment will take place at a later date at Mercer Cemetery.
Expressions of affection in a charitable contribution in Susan's memory are suggested in lieu of flowers to the Winchester Volunteer Fire Department/Winchester Volunteer Ambulance Service, 7228 Highway W, Winchester, WI 54557, or Manitowish Waters Community Presbyterian Church, P.O. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jerald Rocco, owner and manager of Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., in Wakefield, Mich. Condolences may be expressed online at lakesidememorialchapel.com.
