BESSEMER, Mich. – Scott Edward Hastings, 59, of Bessemer, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Scott was born on Nov. 21, 1963, in Wheeling, Illinois.

On March 5, 1988, he married the love of his life, Debbie Waurio.

Scott was employed with Nokia Telecommunications for 40 years, and he recently retired.

He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Scott is survived by his wife, Debbie; two children, James (Ariel) and Molly (Erik); four grandchildren, Aries, Drake, Travis and Aurora; two brothers, Ken and Keith (Michelle), and their daughter, Nicole; his mother-in-law, Arline Waurio; and two brothers-in-law, Ray (Mary) Waurio, and their four children, Joe, Mark (Becca), John and Tom (Beth), and Art (Pam) Waurio, and their five children, Matt (Margaret), Nick, Steven (Jessi), Isaac and Kara.

A memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
