LA CROSSE, Wis. – Sara Louise Osier, 76, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, in La Crosse.

Sara was born on April 12, 1950, in Wakefield, Michigan, the only daughter to George Louis and Aili Serafina (Santti) Osier. She attended Wakefield High School and graduated in 1968.

After high school, Sara left Wakefield and eventually settled in St. Paul, Minnesota. She spent several years there before moving to Woodbury, Minnesota and spent the rest of her time there. Sara worked for more than 40 years for the State of Minnesota in the insurance claims department. She had a great love for dogs and had several rescue dogs during her lifetime.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Eugene, John, George and Michael.

She is survived by two nieces, Diana Meeuwsen (Greg) and Sandy Smith (Jim); three nephews, Dave Osier, Scott Osier and Don Osier (Lynn); and two sisters-in-law, Nancy Osier and Ruth Osier.

Cremation has taken place and per Sara’s wishes, there will be no services. Her ashes will be interred in the family plot at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.

The family would like to thank the Springbrook Care Facility in Onalaska and the Hillview Health Care Campus of La Crosse for the exceptional care given to Sara during the past several years.
