MONTREAL, Wis. - Sandra Arlene Kuhn Machesky, 86, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Sky View Nursing Center in Hurley.
Sandy was born on March 27, 1940, in Oakland, California, daughter of Henry and Leola Kuhn. She was one of three children, including her sister, Judy Kuhn, and her brother, Don Kuhn, who all preceded her in death. They are all now joined together in Heaven for one fantastic Kuhn reunion.
Sandy married David Machesky on Feb. 7, 1959, and they were happily married for 65 years, renewing their wedding vows in 2024. They have three children, Cynthia (James) Simmons, Deborah (Stephen, deceased) Harrell and Jerome (Roberta) Machesky. They enjoyed five grandchildren, James, Alan, Christine, Danielle and Joseph. They also have two great-grandchildren, Micah and Georgiana. Her beloved husband, David, preceded her in death in October 2024.
David and Sandy enjoyed raising their children, providing them with phenomenal traveling experiences and then watching each of them enjoy their own retirements.
Sandy enjoyed various careers to include the Nestle Corporation and North Star Beverage. Sandy and David enjoyed their retirement by snow-birding to Yuma, Arizona, every year until 2020. They enjoyed cruises and traveling around the United States and the world. They especially enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with family and friends.
The family would like to thank the extraordinary staff at Sky View Nursing Center for the exceptional care and compassion they have shown our mom during the time she spent with them.
A Celebration of Life will take place later this summer.
Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., Wakefield, Michigan, is assisting the family with arrangements.
