Sandra Maria Dalbeck
WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Sandra Maria (nee Emig) Dalbeck, 77, of Wakefield, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
Sandi was born on Oct. 23, 1945, in Bessemer Township, a daughter of Gordon and Lydia (Anderson) Emig. She graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood.
On Dec. 17, 1966, Sandi was united in marriage to Dalbert C. Dalbeck in Wakefield.
Family was everything to Sandi. She loved spending any time she could with them.
Sandi was currently employed by the Community Action Agency, as a home delivery meal driver and a homemaker aide, for more than 20 years. She loved her job, and everyone she worked with.
She always took a minute or two to check in on her people to see how they were doing.
Sandi was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dalbert, on Jan. 5, 2007; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Ralph Dunn, and Paula and Paul Nelson; a brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Patricia Emig; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Elizabeth and Wilbert Pikka; and her sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-laws, Genevieve and Elmer Nurmi, Leola "Ducky" and John Cook, Clarice and Joseph Sailor, Gary and Lois Dalbeck, and Norman Waurio.
Sandi is survived by her children, Gary Dalbeck, Conover, Wisconsin, and Suzanne (Jerry) Malovrh, William Dalbeck and Debra (Donald) Jones, all of Wakefield; seven grandchildren, Samantha (Reece) Linna, Jacob (Katrina) Dalbeck, Andrew Malovrh, Alex Jones, Cameron Jones, Brittany Jones and Danny Jones; eight great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Christine Waurio, and Mary and Mike Wendell; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and her two faithful dogs, Bella and Freya.
A celebration of Sandi's life will be held on Friday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at All Saints Lutheran Church, 1202 Putnam St., in Wakefield, with the Rev. Lauri Maki officiating.
Luncheon will be served at the church fellowship hall following the service.
A committal service and interment will take place at the Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood, in the spring.
