WAKEFIELD, Mich. – Samuel Sheldon Sordahl, 77, a long-time resident of Wakefield, passed away early Friday morning, March 9, 2018.
Sheldon was born on Dec. 21, 1940, in Marenisco, a son of Sam and Gertrude (Anderson) Sordahl.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for more than 11 years.
Sheldon is survived by a stepdaughter, Debbie (Jim) Danielson; three granddaughters, Corinna Danielson, Jennifer Hantula and Keva Southwell; a grandson, Chad Southwell; a great-granddaughter, Kiernan Hantula; two sisters-in-law, Barb Sordahl and Kathy Sordahl; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; a stepdaughter, Sandy Hantula Smith; a grandson, Cody Southwell; four brothers, Clifford, Warren, Albert and Wayne; and four sisters, Joy, Marilyn, June and Thelma.
At Sheldon's request, there will be no funeral service.
