WATFORD CITY, N.D. – Samantha Lee (Singleton) Merrill, 27, of Watford City, formerly of Wakefield, Mich., passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 16, 2018, at her home.

Sami was born on July 8, 1990, in Ashland, Wis.

On April 26, 2009, she was united in marriage to her loving and devoted husband, Matthew Merrill. They made their home in Watford City and were blessed with three children.

Samantha was a small business owner, talented artist, skilled bow hunter and organic gardener, but most of all, she was a loving mother to her children.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Sami is survived by her beloved husband, Matthew; three beautiful children, Scarlett, Savannah and Matthew Jr.; her father, Daniel Singleton, Wakefield; her brother, Tyler Singleton (Josie), Ashland; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Donna and John Frello, Bessemer, Mich.; her paternal grandmother, Patricia "Pat" Singleton, Wakefield; her aunts and uncles, Cindy (Rick) Giackino, Wakefield, Renee Magiera, Bessemer, and Diane (Dave) Halberg, Pam (Cory) Ozzello and Mike Singleton (Lakin), all of Wakefield; and numerous cousins.

She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Donald "Don" Singleton; an uncle, Greg Magiera; and two cousins, Mark Ozzello and Dixon Giackino.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 24, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at Calvary Baptist Church, 1201 Peters St., in  Wakefield, with the Rev. Michael Riley officiating.

Luncheon will be served at Bessemer Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3673 immediately following the service.
