Obituary

IRONWOOD, Mich. – Rose Struzynski, 97, a lifelong resident of Ironwood, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Westgate Nursing, Rehabilitation and Assisted Living Community in Ironwood.

Rose was born on Sept. 1, 1927, in Ironwood, a daughter of John and Tillie (Meckowski) Struzynski. She was a graduate of Luther L. Wright High School.

Rose loved gardening, reading and baking.

She was an excellent seamstress and worked many years at Hansen Glove Factory in Pence, Wisconsin.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister and best friend, Sophie.

She is survived by her friend of many years, Tami (John) Grewe of Ironwood.

Rite of Committal will be held on Tuesday, July 1, at 11 a.m., at the Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood. The Rev. Brian Gerber, pastor of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, will preside.

Tami would like to extend her sincerest appreciation and gratitude to Jerald Rocco of Lakeside Memorial Chapel and the staff at Westgate Nursing Home, especially Carol and Tori, for their excellent care of Rose.
