Ronald Udell 'Ron' Taylor's Obituary
WAKEFIELD, Mich. – Ronald Udell "Ron" Taylor, 69, of Wakefield, was taken to be with the Lord, Friday evening, Dec. 6, 2013.
Ron was born on Nov. 17, 1944, in Harriman, Tenn., son of the late Cletus U. and Enith (Hall) Taylor.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1961 - 1964.
On Sept. 5, 1964, Ron was united in marriage to his best friend and soul mate, Janice Lee Wicklund, in Waukegan, Ill.
He worked as a cook at Mike's Restaurant.
Ron dearly loved his family and he will be forever in our hearts.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Janice, of 49 years; three sons, Eric "Scotty" (Gail), Clint (Rebekah) and Jason; a daughter, Michele "Missy" (Ron) Funk; six grandchildren, Sarah Trewett, Nick (Jennie) Trewett, Melissa (Wayne) Allen, Sheila (Mike) Rubatt, Tina Romosz and Michael Mrozinski; nine great-grandchildren, Aden, Jordan, Wayne III, Amber, Taylor, Gavyn, Shayne, Lainey and Piper; a brother, Greg (Sharon); a sister, Teresa (Jeff) Nichols; several nieces and cousins; and a host of friends.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Lakeside Memorial Chapel in Wakefield for a celebration of life from 2 to 4 p.m.
Be still and know that I am God.
