LAKE GOGEBIC – Rolf Lehtinen, 52, of Lake Gogebic, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 10, 2011, due to a heart attack.
He was born on Feb. 28, 1959, in Wakefield, son of the late Kauko and Anja Lehtinen. Rolf graduated from Wakefield High School in 1977.
After graduation, he proudly served in the U.S. Army for three years, and was honorably discharged on Aug. 17, 1980.
Rolf is survived by a son, Dillon; two sisters, Kirsti (Bob) Lumsden, Paris, Mich., and Annette (Victor) Linna, Bergland; and three nephews.
At the family's request, there will be no funeral service.
