WAKEFIELD, Mich. – Roger B. Langa, 77, a longtime resident of Bessemer Township, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020, in Wakefield.

Roger was born on Sept. 6, 1942, in Oregon City, Oregon, the son of Ted and Mary (Soffietti) Langa. He attended school in Wakefield and graduated in 1961.

On July 4, 1964, Roger married Joann Banfield at Sharon Lutheran Church in Bessemer.

Roger is survived by his wife, Joann, Bessemer; a son, Scott (Tina), Wakefield; a daughter, Pam, Bessemer; a sister, Patricia Chlebowski, Hoyt Lakes, Minnesota; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents; and his brother-in-law, Lawrence Chlebowski, on June 18, 2016.

In accordance with Roger's wishes, cremation will take place.

A graveside service and interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield at a later date.
