Robert R. Trevarthen, 74, a longtime resident of Wakefield, passed away Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at his home.
He was born on Jan. 21, 1937, in Bessemer, the son of Roy and Elma (Koivunen) Trevarthen. Bob graduated from A.D. Johnston High School in 1955.
On June 19, 1976, he married Patricia Burcham, in Houghton Lake.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He also was a talented musician.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Pat; a son, Charles, Wakefield; a daughter, Elma (Kim) Strom, Marquette; two grandchildren, Heather and Michael Lownds; other loving relatives; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jim; a sister, Joan Russell; and his first wife, Elaine.
Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 17, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., at Lakeside Memorial Chapel, 806 Putnam St., Wakefield, where a memorial service will follow at 9:30 a.m., with the Rev. Gary Grabow, pastor of Living Water Missionary Assembly in Ironwood, officiating.
