LAKE GOGEBIC, Mich. – Robert Owen Lindberg, 91, of Lake Gogebic, passed away Monday afternoon, May 8, 2017.

Robert was born on Oct. 19, 1925, in Ironwood, a son of Erhard William and Jenny Alina (Anderson) Lindberg. He attended Luther L. Wright High School and graduated in 1943.

Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, June; four sons; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

The family is honoring Robert's life in a private funeral service.
