Obituary

IRONWOOD, Mich.  — Richard C. "Skip" Gusman, 71, of Ironwood, passed away on
Monday, Nov. 30, 2020, at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital.


He was born in Ironwood on April 2, 1949, to Frank and Shirley
(Anderson) Gusman, and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School.
After high school, he moved to Los Angeles seeking adventure.

During his younger working years, he was employed by Paramount Pictures as a
security guard in Hollywood, meeting and making friends with many TV
and movie stars of the '60s and '70s.


Skip loved the Upper Peninsula, and gladly returned to the area in
the later 1970s. During his local working years he was employed at
Copper Range White Pine Mine, Grand View Hospital and Walmart.
Skip loved hunting and fishing, especially on Lake Superior.


Skip is survived by is son, Jason Gusman, of North Carolina; his
granddaughters, Noelle and Emma, and his grandson, Jackson; his loving
Aunt, Sandi (Dan) McManman, Ironwood; and numerous other relatives
and friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cindy (Swanbeck)
Gusman; and his brother, Frank "Butch" Gusman.


In accordance with Skip's wishes, no services will be held. "Be kind
to each other."


Final arrangements have been entrusted to Jerald Rocco, owner and
manager of Lakeside Memorial Chapel, Inc., Wakefield.


Special thanks and appreciation is expressed to the medical staff of
Aspirus Ironwood Hospital for their help and professional care of
Skip in his final days.
