IRONWOOD, Mich. - Richard Allen Miller, 84, of Ironwood, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at his residence, with his loved ones at his side.

Richard was born on Jan. 11, 1941, in Marenisco Township, to Alton and Celia Miller.  He attended Marenisco High School.

Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

On Jan. 27, 1969, he was united in marriage to Katherine Marie Marcelon. They were happily married until her untimely death on June 5, 2009.

Richard worked various jobs throughout his lifetime. He was a cop for the township of Marenisco, had various positions in the construction industry and ended his working career with lawn care and snow plowing which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Richard is survived by his children, Stacey (Stacy) Miller, Ironwood, and Vicki (Dean) Anderson, Hurley, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Jake (Ashley) Miller, Laura (William) Westeen, Courtney (Derek) Chavers and Chelsea Anderson (Kurt Nasi); six great-grandchildren, Addison, Parker, Luke, Lincoln, Emma and Audrianna; and his very dear and special friend, Kathy Carli.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 13, at 11 a.m., at Sunset Acres Cemetery in Ironwood Township. The Rev. Brian Gerber, pastor of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood, will officiate.

Following the service, a luncheon will be served at the Ironwood Township Community Building.
