IRONWOOD, Mich. – Raymond E. Novascone, 80, a longtime resident of Bessemer, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at Westgate Nursing, Rehabilitation and Assisted Living Community in Ironwood, after a brief illness.
Raymond was born on Aug. 22, 1932, in Ironwood, the son of James and Olive (Marzari) Novascone. He graduated from St. Sebastian Catholic School and A.D. Johnston High School.
Raymond was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force, after 20 years of service.
Raymond is survived by a brother, Arthur (Helen), Bessemer; a sister, Gloria (John) Goss, Bessemer; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog, Tiger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jimmy and Richard, his sister-in-law, Marjorie Novascone; a nephew, Michael Novascone; and a great-nephew, Jan Perkovich.
No funeral service is scheduled at this time.
Burial will take place in Hillcrest Cemetery, Bessemer.
