Raymond P. Foster, 47, of Wakefield, passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, in Ironwood.
Ray was born on July 24, 1963, in Fairbanks, Alaska, the son of George and Marilyn (Sordahl) Foster.
He attended Wakefield High School and had worked for Miljevich Lumber Co.
Ray enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
He is survived by four brothers, Terry, Milwaukee, Irvin, Tygh Valley, Ore., Tim (Trisha), La Crosse, Wis., and Shawn (Amy), Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Karen (Arthur) Norden and Teresa LaMaide, both of Wakefield; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friend, his dog, Askum.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Billy, Bobby and James.
There will be a celebration of Ray's life on Saturday, Jan. 29, at the Wakefield American Legion Post 11, beginning at 4 p.m.
A graveside service and burial will take place in the spring at Lakeside Cemetery.
The family is being served by Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., Wakefield.
