WAKEFIELD, Mich. – Patricia A. Daniels, "Grandma Patsy," age 89, of Bruce Crossing, was called home to the eternal kitchen on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Gogebic Medical Care Facility in Wakefield.

Patsy was born on July 2, 1936, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. She attended the Ewen Public Schools and graduated in 1953. Patsy married Leon Daniels in 1955 after which time they lived in Texas and Kansas, before moving back to the Western Upper Peninsula to raise their family. Patsy was employed by the Ewen-Trout Creek Consolidated School District as a teacher's aide and as a beloved hot lunch cook. After her retirement from the school district, Patsy worked at the Cloverland Senior Center in Ewen. Many people will remember her for her homemade rag rugs, delicious pasties and wonderful selection of baked goods.

Patsy is survived by her three daughters, Sheryl Daniels (Glen Jacobs), Diane Kuehnl (Bryan) and Penny Schmidt (Joe); four grandchildren, Heidi Lynch (Bryan), Gregory Kuehnl (Brittany), Dan Schmidt (Melinda) and Jeni Gilpin (Blake); and seven great- grandchildren with another on the way, Zoey, Lily, Bryce, Karis, Kai, Everly, Simon and Bennett (due in August).

Patsy was predeceased by her husband, Leon; her parents, Hubert and Martha (Korhonen) Anderson; and a sister, Beverly Swanson.

Patsy's funeral will be held on Monday, Aug. 4, at 3 p.m. EST, preceded by visitation at 2 p.m. EST, at First Lutheran Church in Ewen, with the Rev. Kay Richter officiating.

Following the interment at the Evergreen Cemetery, Ewen, a celebratory luncheon will be held at Twilly's in Bruce Crossing.

Memorials can be made in Patsy's memory to the donor's choice of recipient.
