Patricia A. "Pat" Olson, 88, of Wakefield, passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, in Wakefield.
She was born on Aug. 31, 1923, in Anvil, the daughter of Boris and Mary (Plese) Mladenoff.
In 1938, Pat married Willard Parent. They were blessed with seven children, and later divorced.
In 1970, she married Leo Olson.
Pat is survived by her children, Ann Marie (Stan) Stevens and Louie (Jan) Parent, both of Seattle, Larry Parent, Kenosha, Wis., Patricia (Bill) Bockenkamp, Seattle, Mary Lee (Doug) Billig, Ocala, Fla., Debbie (Tom) Zeckovich, Wakefield, and Jeff (Joann) Parent, Rochester, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances (Buddy) Ellis and Mary Ann Rancinici; two sisters-in-law, Mary Mladenoff and Mary Mladenoff; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Willard, in 1995; her husband, Leo, in 1977; her daughter-in-law, Carole Parent; and three brothers, a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law, John Mladenoff, Sam and Ann Mladenoff, Clifford Mladenoff and Guido Rancinici.
Pat and her granddaughter Amy Tarro had a very special bond. The family is so grateful to Amy for everything she did for "Grandma" throughout the years.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, Nov. 29, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wakefield, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Joy J. Adimakkeel officiating.
Also in attendance will be the Immaculate Conception Women's Guild Honor Guard.
Rite of Committal and burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Louie Parent, Jeff Parent, Tom Zeckovich Sr., Tom Zeckovich Jr., Jim Tarro and Bill Bockenkamp.
A reception will be held in the church hall following the cemetery service.
The family would like to thank everyone at the Gogebic Medical Care Facility for their kindness and loving care that was given to Pat over the past three years.
