BESSEMER, Mich. – Patricia Lynn “Patty” Nyman, 73, a longtime resident of Bessemer, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 12, 2026, at her residence.

The former Patricia Kujanson was born Aug. 28, 1952, in Ironwood, daughter of the late Eugene and Alice (Brown) Kujanson. She attended Ironwood schools.

Patty was married to Curtis “Snuffy” Nyman on June 24, 1972, at Sharon Lutheran Church in Bessemer. He preceded her in death on Oct. 14, 2019.

One of her favorite pastimes was watching a good Western on television. Patty was a die-hard Green Bay Packer fan. She also enjoyed feeding and watching the hummingbirds.

Patty was employed as a housekeeper at area ski resorts.

She is survived by a sister, Sandra Ahonen, Ironwood; her brother-in-law, Glen Aho of Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patty was predeceased by a brother, Dennis “Pudgy” Kujanson; a sister, Arlene “Cookie” Aho; and her brother-in-law, Robert Ahonen.

Out of respect for her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
