BERGLAND, Mich. – Michael E. "Mike" Crave, 82, of Bergland, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025.
He was born on Jan. 15, 1943, in Beloit, Wisconsin, a son of Peter and Marian Crave.
He was a member of the U.S. Navy from 1965 until 1970.
On Jan. 2, 1965, Mike married Barbara J. Ernst at St. Jude Catholic Church in Beloit.
He retired after 30 years from Chrysler's Belvidere, Illinois, assembly plant in 1999. He then retired from farming in 2003 at their family farm in South Beloit, Illinois.
Mike and Barb made their retirement dream a reality and moved to Lake Gogebic, where they enjoyed many years of life at their lake home. He also enjoyed many years of deer hunting and fishing.
Mike is survived by two daughters, Wendy (Mark) Alland and Carrie Enderle; a brother, Dan (Patti), Rockford, Illinois; three sisters-in-law, Beverly (James) Burczyk, Franklin, Wisconsin, Bonnie (Louis) Pody, Beloit, and Amy Crave, Rockford; four grandchildren, Megan (Matthew) Boschi, Matthew Alland, Ross (Candela) Enderle and Jason Enderle; and three great-grandchildren, Elyse and Bryce Boschi and Thomas Enderle.
Additionally, he is survived by numerous nieces and great-nieces, and other relatives and close friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara; a brother, John; and his son-in-law, Douglas Enderle.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 10, from noon to 2 p.m. CDT, at the Lakeside Memorial Chapel, 806 Putnam St., in Wakefield.
Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to Wounded Warriors or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
