BERGLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Mary Louise Young, a resident of Bergland Township, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020, at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital after her third courageous battle with cancer at the age of 69.

Mary was born on April 26, 1951, in Medford, Wisconsin, a daughter of  Harry C. and Mary Louise (Gibson) Beintker. She graduated from Medford High School in 1969 and earned as associate's degree in accounting from Mid-State Technical Institute.

On May 5, 1973, Mary married Allan K. Young and they celebrated 47 happy years together. They began their married life in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, where Mary was employed as an accountant with Sentry Insurance Company. In 1986, they moved to Antigo, Wisconsin, where they raised their family for the next 32 years. During those years, Mary and Allan started their own business and Mary was the company's accountant.

Mary was a kind and thoughtful wife, mother, sister and friend. She enjoyed delivering meals through the local Meals on Wheels chapter. Her hobbies included spoiling her pets, attending to her house plants, and feeding the birds and squirrels that flocked her many feeders. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life.

Mary is survived by her husband, Allan; her sister, Katalina (Alfredo) Beltran; her daughters, Jessica (Matthew) Young and Katherine (Noah) Young; and her granddaughters, Samantha and Lily.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary's memory will live on in the hearts and minds of her family to whom she dedicated her life and love.

Private family services will be held at Mary's request.
