BESSEMER, Mich. - Mary Jean "Jeannie" Williams, 77, of Bessemer, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood.
Jeannie was born on May 3, 1947, in Ironwood, to James and Della (LaChapelle) Aspinwall, and was the first of 10 children. She attended A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer, and graduated in 1965.
On Sept. 10, 1966, Jeannie married her soulmate, Gary Webb Williams. Together they were blessed with two children, Jean and Dale.
Jeannie was a dedicated homemaker and for several years worked at Randall's Bakery in Wakefield. She enjoyed baking and always shared homemade treats with her neighbors and friends. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching the Green Bay Packers.
Jeannie is survived by four grandchildren, Mike Williams, Bessemer, Jennifer (Steven) Selin, Ramsay, Alyssa (Alex) Doherty, Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Sierra Anderson, Bessemer; four great-grandchildren, Aubrie, Olivia, Xander and Grace; five brothers, David, Ironwood, John (Connie), Lennon, James, Ramsay, Jeff, Hurley, Wisconsin, and Jerry (Sherry), of New Jersey; two sisters, Joyce (Chuck) and DeeDee (Punky), both of Ironwood; two brothers-in-law, Roy (Karen) Williams, South Range, Wisconsin, and Tim (Karen) Williams, Oregon, Wisconsin; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Miriam and Webb Williams; her husband, Gary; her son, Dale; her daughter, Jean; a brother, Donald "Sparky;" and a sister, Darlene.
She will be deeply missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her kind heart, and the family finds inner peace knowing that she is finally reunited with her beloved husband and children.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time.
