IRONWOOD, Mich. – Mary T. (McHugh) Gribble, 70, of Ironwood, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2025, at her home.

Mary was born on March 17, 1955, in Hayward, California, a daughter of Thomas and Lila (Manninen) McHugh. She graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood, with the class of 1973. Mary continued her education at Northern Michigan University in Marquette.

She worked at a pharmacy technician at Shopko in Marquette.

On Aug. 8, 1988, Mary married Jack Gribble and move to Nashville, Tennessee. They retired to Wakefield and upon Jack's passing in 2017, Mary moved to Ironwood.

Mary was an avid skier and lover of Cocker Spaniels.

She is survived by her stepdaughters, Tiffany Madden and Kandace Hopkins and their children; a brother, Tom McHugh (Arlene); a sister, Sue Trolla (Butch); and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Jack, she was preceded in death by her parents, Tom McHugh Sr. and Lila Haavisto; two brothers, John and Jim McHugh; and a sister, Carole Burns.

At her request, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
