WAKEFIELD, Mich. – Marie Florence Lesinski, 66, of Wakefield, passed away Wednesday morning, Aug. 14, 2019.

Marie was born on March 20, 1953, in Bessemer Township, the daughter of Florence Marie "Flossie" Anderson and Frank James Lesinski Jr.

Through the years, Marie looked forward to participating in Special Olympics. She enjoyed shopping and wearing jewelry.

Marie is survived by a cousin, Paul Gene Kriska, Ramsay; other extended family; many dear friends, including past and present Keen Agers and Community Mental Health staff; and longtime guardian, Helen Jakkola-Kangas.

She was predeceased by her father, Frank Jr., on July 11, 1974; and her mother, Florence, on July 13, 2008.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m., at the Divine Infant Living Center Chapel (Keen Agers), 303 Brotherton St., Wakefield, with Mr. Andrew Hill officiating.

A committal service and interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
