Obituary

Margaret Elizabeth Richard, 80, of Saxon, Wisconsin, was peacefully called home by her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 8th, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Margaret was born on July 19, 1945, in Door County, Wisconsin. She graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1963 and married her high school sweetheart, Keith Richard, on April 20, 1963. Margaret was a stay at home mom until her children were school aged then started her career working in retail for 30 years. She retired in 2007 and moved to the Northwoods.
Margaret was known for her kindness, exceptional ability at being a hostess, and opened her heart and home to friends and family. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, volunteering in many ways including teaching, singing, and working behind the scenes at her place of worship. She was very artistic, creating her signature wedding candles for many years. She also loved decorating, cooking, gardening and spending time on the water, especially fishing with the love of her life, Keith, both in Door County and on Lake Superior. Margaret was affectionately known as "Gram" by her seven grandchildren and "Great Gram" by her seven great grandchildren. She spent countless hours playing games, splashing in puddles and supporting them in their interests.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 62 years, Keith Richard. Her Brother, Richard Stuth of Port Richey, FL. Her children, Shelly (Tom) Dobberthein of Black River Falls, WI, Connie (Eric) Todd of International Falls, MN, and Mike (Holley) Richard of Townsend, MT. Her grandchildren, Leanne (Brandon) Koronkiewicz, Nichole (Kyle) Donaldson, Sarah (Levi) Lucy, Myles (Kimberly) Crawley, Jack Richard, Megan (Luke) Richard and Ryan (Reagan) Todd. Great-grandchildren, Harper Koronkiewicz, Nina Donaldson, Zoey Donaldson, Quinn Crawley, Henley Koronkiewicz, Vera Crawley and Nathan Lucy.
