HURLEY, Wis. - Lorraine Ann Andrashie, 95, of Hurley, formerly of 133 W. Ash St., Ironwood, Michigan, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, April 13, 2026, at Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hurley.
The former Lorraine Urbanski was born June 9, 1930, in Wakefield, Michigan, daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Zazeski) Urbanski. She attended Wakefield High School and graduated in 1948.
Following graduation she worked for a short while at various mining companies. Lorraine then was employed at the First National Bank of Ironwood, where she enjoyed many wonderful new friendships. She retired as head teller in 1992.
Lorraine married the love of her life, Michael J. Andrashie, on Nov. 13, 1954. They spent 71 wonderful, fun years together until his passing on March 30, 2025.
Lorraine was a member of our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood and the former Hurley Lioness Club. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, enjoyed baking, reading, playing cards and meeting her lady friends for coffee on a regular basis.
Lorraine is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Caesar Urbanski and Edward Urbanski; and a sister, Irene Augustiniak.
The family will greet relatives and friends Tuesday, May 19, from 10 to 10:45 a.m., in the St. Joseph Family Room at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 108 S. Marquette St., in Ironwood. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., with the Very Rev. Brian C. Gerber, celebrant.
Rite of Committal and interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus, Box 251, Ironwood, MI 49938.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff and caregivers at Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center for their care, support and kindness.
