Loretta Irene Richardson, 89, of Bessemer, passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, in Wakefield.
Loretta was born on Feb. 4, 1921, in Bessemer, the daughter of Joseph and Irene (Tender) Michelli.
She graduated from A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer.
Her memberships included St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Bessemer, Our Lady of Guadalupe Circle 746 Daughters of Isabella and the Ladies Auxiliary to Bessemer Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3673.
She also volunteered countless hours at the St. Vincent DePaul Store in Bessemer.
Loretta was employed by Divine Infant Hospital in Wakefield for years.
She is survived by three granddaughters, Christine Mattila, Bessemer, Mary A. Holschbach, Manitowoc, Wis., and Debi (Ronald) Mannietta, Morris, Ill.; nine great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Virginia Bravatto, Hurley, Wis.; her son-in-law, Gerald Kremposki, Wakefield; a sister, Bernice Zambrovitz, Hope Mills, N.C.; two sisters-in-laws, Marilyn Michelli, Bessemer, and Lois Michelli, Muskegan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Mario Bravatto and Arnold "Hop" Richardson; her daughter, Irene A. Kremposki; her son, Mario Joseph Bravatto; a sister, Florence Ellsworth; and two brothers, Robert and Bernard "Bernie."
At Loretta's request, cremation has taken place.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, Jan. 18, from 10 to 11 a.m., at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Allan J. Mayotte officiating.
Rite of Committal and burial will take place in the spring at Lakeside Cemetery.
The family is being served by Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., Wakefield.
