IRON BELT, Wis. - Lee "Flash" Mattson 63, passed away unexpectedly at his home Sunday July 26, 2020.

Lee was born Sept. 4, 1956, to Toivo and Sylvia Mattson. He and twin sister, Lisa, were #10 and #11 of the #13 Mattson children and the third set of twins.

Lee grew up in Oma, Wisconsin, adventuring to Waukegan, Illinois, Rockland, Michigan and Sierra Vista, Arizona before returning home to Hurley.

Lee will be remembered by his family for his sense of humor, generosity, fun-loving and lovable spirit. Lee was a self-proclaimed "jack of all trades and master of none," an avid Packer fan and loved music of all kinds.

One of his greatest and most treasured accomplishments was being a father to his daughter, Tonya. Lee made friends everywhere he went and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. We take comfort knowing Lee went home to his parents; a brother, Darryl (twin to Cheryl); and wife, Suzie.

Lee is survived by daughter, Tonya (Brad) Janecek; nine sisters, Arlette (Paul) Coleman and twin Annette (Don) Koosmann, Dorinne (Ron) Saari, Clarice Koosmann, Sharon Stuhr, Deanna (Bill) Lamerand, Cheryl (Tom) Tucker, Lisa (Don) Lundquist, Jill (Russell) Buccanero; two brothers, Charles and Brian "Toivo;" and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A private celebration of life will occur for immediate family on Friday, July 31, at Oma Town Hall. If you wish to pay your respects, that can be done between 3-4 p.m.  Please practice social distancing.
