(Groleau) Gunderman

MARENISCO, Mich. - Kathleen Frances (Groleau) Gunderman, 75, of Marenisco, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025.
Kathy was born to Catherine and Rudolph Groleau on Jan. 29, 1950, in Manistique, Michigan, and was raised in St. Jacques, Michigan. She attended Big Bay De Noc High School and graduated in 1968.
On May 31, 1969, Kathy married Thomas H. Gunderman Sr., and enjoyed 56 years of marriage to her long-time penpal.
Kathy worked at numerous positions throughout her life: as a secretary, certified nursing assistant, copper refinery staff, security guard and administrative personnel at the U.P. State Fair.
Kathy loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. Kathy enjoyed tending to her flowers, a good card game or a round of greed, the beach and her winters in Texas.
Besides her loving husband, Tom Sr., her family includes sons, Thomas Gunderman Jr. (Wade), Lawrence Gunderman Sr. (Beth), Jason Gunderman (Jessica) and James Gunderman (Tracy); grandchildren, Lawrence Gunderman Jr., Veronica Dorn (Paul), Randall Gunderman, Valerie Gunderman, Alex Gunderman and Isabella Gunderman; great-grandchildren, Lalina Gunderman and Brandi Jo Dorn; her siblings, Michael (Mary Beth) Groleau, Gloria Bierstaker (Larry), Linda Robitaille (Dan), Paul Groleau (Janis), Matthew Groleau, Florestine Brewer (Tom), Phillip Groleau (Lisa) and Melissa Cayemberg (Tim); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Michael and Matthew.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at St. Catherine Catholic Church, 200 Main St., in Marenisco, with the Rev. Christian Flagstadt, celebrant.
Following the Mass, a luncheon will be served at the Marenisco Town Hall.
Rite of Committal and interment will take place at Marenisco Cemetery in the spring.
