IRONWOOD, Mich. – Judy Mae Minier, 61, of Wakefield, died unexpectedly Friday, July 27, 2012, at Aspirus Grand View Hospital in Ironwood.
She was born on Aug. 9, 1950, in Wakefield, the daughter of Oliver and Elizabeth (Rutherford) Keto.
On Nov. 12, 1966, Judy married Michael Minier in Milwaukee.
Before her disability, she was active at All Saints Lutheran Church in Wakefield and was employed as a cook at various area restaurants.
Judy is survived by her husband, Mike; seven children, Michelle, Crystal Falls, Julie (Pete) Glatczak, Bessemer, Jeannie (Rudy) Perhalla, Ironwood, Mickie, Ironwood, Jamie (Allen) Wixson, Palmyra, N.Y., and Mikey and Jeremy, both of Wakefield; 10 grandchildren, Ashley, Eric, Abby, Michael, Rebecca, Bridgette, Branden, Hannah, Sarah and Carly; a great-granddaughter, Haylee, and another great-grandchild due in February 2013; a brother, Michael (Karalie) Keto, of Montana; a sister, Diana (Don) Laakonen, Ironwood; numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews; other loving relatives; and her faithful companion, Shelby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, David; and two sisters, Gloria and Brenda.
The Minier family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, Aug. 9, from 10 to 11:45 a.m., at All Saints Lutheran Church, where a funeral service will follow at noon, with the Rev. Bill Jacobson officiating.
Following the service, lunch will be served in the church fellowship hall.
