Obituary

IRONWOOD, Mich. – Judith C. Clark, 75, a long-time resident of Ironwood, passed away unexpectedly late Thursday evening, Oct. 4, 2018.

Judith was born on Jan. 22, 1943, in Stambaugh, a daughter of Thad and Lorraine (Owen) Spencer.

On July 1, 1961, she was united in marriage to James A. Clark at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wakefield. They made their home in Ironwood and were blessed with two sons.

In earlier years, Judith was a CNA at Gogebic Medical Care Facility in Wakefield, then was a seamstress at Munsingwear in Ironwood and concluded her working career as a caregiver in private duty.

Judith was a former member of the Ladies' Auxiliary to Wakefield American Legion Geroux Post 11.

Judith is survived by her son, Scott (Krystal), Ironwood; two granddaughters, Nicole (Brandon) Pertile, Gile, Wis., and Deanna (Jay) LaPlant, Bessemer; seven great-grandchildren, Briana, Peyton, Maleah, James, Maddison, Rudy and Brody; a brother, Jim Spencer, Wakefield; a sister, Barbara (Gerald) Toivonen, Crystal Falls; two brothers-in-law, Jack (Ruth) Clark, Livonia, and Keith Clark, Wakefield; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, James, on March 29, 2012; her son, Todd, on Aug. 18, 1968; and her sister-in-law, Della Grace, on Aug. 26, 1987.

A celebration of Judith's life will be held at a later date.
