John A. Krone's Obituary
IRONWOOD, Mich. – John A. Krone, 83, a lifelong resident of Ironwood, passed away Friday, Oct. 3, 2014.
He was born on Jan. 13, 1931, in Ironwood, a son of Gust and Wilhelmina "Minnie" Krone. John attended Luther L. Wright High School.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War in Germany.
John was employed by and retired from White Pine Copper Co., after 30 years of service.
He enjoyed fishing, a cold beer and good humor.
John is survived by a son, Jody, Ironwood; a daughter, Diane Jensen, Clarksville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John R., on May 18, 2008; and a brother, Gus.
Relatives and friends are invited to John's home, at N8720 Vanbuskirk Road, Ironwood, to join the family in a celebration of his life, on Saturday, Oct. 11, beginning at noon.
