NORTH MUSKEGON, Mich. – John L. DeWitt, 76, of North Muskegon, formerly of Wakefield, passed away Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

John was born on Jan. 2, 1945, in Muskegon, a son of John Henry and Evelyn Rose (Kartes) DeWitt.

In 1962, he was united in marriage to Linda Beth McDonald in Muskegon.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Linda; two sons, John and Jody; a daughter, Jackie (Bill) Booher; five grandchildren, Jacob, Amanda, Bill, Stephie and Robert; two great-grandchildren; his father, John; a sister, Janet; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother; a brother, Jim; a sister, Arlene; and two brothers-in-law.

At John's request, there will be no funeral service.
