James Clyde Pezzetti

IRONWOOD, Mich. – James Clyde Pezzetti, 78, a lifelong resident of Wakefield, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at Aspirus Grand View Hospital in Ironwood, after a brief illness.
He was born on July 4, 1932, in Wakefield, son of the late John Joseph and Ann Elizabeth (Johnson) Pezzetti. Jim graduated from Wakefield High School in 1951.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War (1953-54) as a private first class.
Following his honorable discharge, Jim returned home and was employed by Conner Lumber and Land. He also owned and operated the Sports Bar in Wakefield, with his brother, Donald B., until his retirement.
Jim was a member of the Wakefield American Legion Post 11 and a life member of the Wakefield Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9084.
Surviving are two sisters, Muriel Vidakovich of Wakefield, and Ardith Krznarich of Ironwood; a brother, Donald (Joellyn) of Wakefield; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by an infant brother, John Keith; and a sister and three brothers-in-law, Judith and Dennis Ravelli, Nick Vidakovich and Milton Krznarich.
Friends may call at the Lakeside Memorial Chapel in Wakefield on Tuesday, Oct. 19, from 10 to 11 a.m. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home at 11 a.m. The Rev. Bill Jacobson will officiate.
Following the service, military rites will be conducted by the Wakefield American Legion Post 11 and the Wakefield VFW Post 9084 Honor Guard.
Lunch will be served in the Wakefield VFW Post following the military rites.
His final resting place will be in the family plot in Lakeside Cemetery.
