RAMSAY, Mich. – James A. Leone, 61, of Wakefield, died peacefully Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the home of his brother, Frank, in Ramsay.
He was born on June 24, 1950, in Chicago, the son of Frank and Sadie H. (Wilson) Leone. Jim was a 1968 graduate of Prosser Vocational High School in Chicago.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Jim is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Brian) Hora, Cary, Ill., and Gina Leone, Huntley, Ill.; two grandchildren, Brogan and Gavin Hora, both of Cary; two brothers, Frank, Ramsay, and John (Sue), Des Plaines, Ill.; an aunt, Delores Leone, Park Ridge, Ill.; five nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, June 9, at Lakeside Memorial Chapel in Wakefield, from 10 to 11 a.m., where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., with James O. Jacobson Jr., chaplain of the Wakefield American Legion Geroux Post 11, officiating.
Following the service, lunch will be served at the American Legion Post 11, 605 River St., Wakefield.
