BERGLAND, Mich. – James G. Corgiat, 80, of Bergland, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020.

He was born Feb. 22, 1940, to the late Bernard and Mary (Pertile) Corgiat in Bessemer.

Jim was an all-star athlete at A.D. Johnston High School earning 12 varsity letters. He went on to play football for Michigan State. He was inducted into the U.P. Sports Hall of Fame with the class of 2014. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.

Cremation has taken place and interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Bessemer. At the request of the deceased, there will be no service.

Jerald Rocco of Lakeside Memorial Chapel in Wakefield is assisting the family.
