HURLEY, Wis. – Helen E. (nee Wiemeri) Ademino, age 93, of Hurley, went home to be with her Lord, on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
Helen was born on April 6, 1932, to Gust R. and Alice M. (Sarlund) Wiemeri, and grew up in Bessemer, Michigan. She attended the Puritan School and A.D. Johnston High School graduating in 1950.
After graduation, Helen went to work as a sales clerk and bookkeeper for the Singer Sewing Machine Company in Ironwood, Michigan.
On Feb. 14, 1956, she married Raymond G. Ademino in Hurley.
Helen then went to work in the family business, Pete's Electric. After her husband's death, she went back to school and earned her associate's degree. Helen concluded her working career at the Talaska and Sharpe CPA firm, retiring in 1989.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, on Aug. 17, 1967; her fiancé, Walfred Malmberg, on Dec. 25, 2015; a brother, John Wiemeri; three brothers-in-law, Gerald Larson, James Ademino and Robert Ademino; and her sister-in-law, Patricia Anderson.
Helen is survived by a son, David (Laurie) Ademino; a daughter, Carol (Brian) Livingston; two granddaughters, Chelsea (Tanner Nussbaum) Ademino and Haley (Ryan) Evers; two grandsons, Zachary (Shelby Lanctoe) Livingston and Aaron Livingston; and two great-grandchildren, Carson and Palmer. She is further survived by four sisters, Gladys Larson, Marilyn Jans, Anne (Ernest) Wurfel and Sharon (Richard) Matrella; a brother, Charles (Beverly) Wiemeri; two sisters-in-law, Karen Wiemeri and Joan Ademino; her brother-in-law, Peter (Cheryl) Ademino; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church in Ironwood, with Pastor Nicole Hanson-Lynn officiating.
Following the service, a luncheon will be served at the church fellowship hall.
A committal service and interment will take place later this spring at St. Mary's Cemetery in Hurley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helen's memory to Zion Lutheran Church, 100 W. Midland Ave., Ironwood, MI 49938.
