WAKEFIELD, Mich. – Gerald Floyd Kremposki, 77, of Wakefield, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015.
Gerald was born on Nov. 15, 1937, in Wakefield, a son of George Alex Sr. and Alice Rachel (Dalbeck) Kremposki. He attended Wakefield school.
Gerald proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for two years.
On April 1, 1967, he was united in marriage to Irene A. Bravatto in Wakefield.
Gerald was a longtime member of Operating Engineers Local 324.
Gerald is survived by three daughters, Christine Mattila, Bessemer, Mary Holschbach, Manitowoc, Wis., and Debra (Ronald) Manietta, Mazon, Ill.; a son, James (Carrie), of Idaho; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Ronald (Geraldine), Ironwood; his brother-in-law, Anthony J. Trolla Sr., Wakefield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Irene, on Sept. 2, 2003; a brother, George Jr.; and a sister, Margaret Trolla.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, at noon, at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield, with the Rev. Antony Lukka officiating.
Following the service, military rites will be accorded by the Wakefield American Legion Geroux Post 11 and Wakefield Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9084 Honor Guard.
