NEWNAN, Ga. — Florence Baker, 90, passed away on Dec. 14, 2023, in Newnan, where she had resided for 10 years under the care of her son, Ken, and his wife, Annette.

She was born on May 28, 1933, in Marenisco, to the late Clarence and Grace (Cox) Allen and graduated from Marenisco High School.

She was a longtime resident of Wakefield, and provided foster care for many years.

She wed Chester Baker, who predeceased her in 2015.

In addition to her son and daughter-in-law, she is survived by grandsons Brian and Brad Baker, and Dustin Hoffner.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie.

Funeral services were previously held in Marenisco.

A celebration of life was held Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024, at the Marenisco Cemetery.
