PORT RICHEY, Fla. – A funeral service for Eugene J. Syrjala Sr., 92, formerly of Lake Gogebic, Mich., who died on March 2, 2016, will be held Saturday, May 14, at 11 a.m., at All Saints Lutheran Church, 1202 Putnam St., in Wakefield, Mich.

The Rev. Bill Jacobson will officiate.

Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m., with the honor guard beginning at 10:15.

Please join the family at the church fellowship hall for lunch.

Interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield, with a military graveside service under the auspices of Wakefield American Legion Geroux Post 11 and Wakefield Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9084 Honor Guard.

Memorials may be made to All Saints Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
