IRONWOOD, Mich. – Elmer Charles Minier, 52, a lifelong resident of Wakefield, passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, in Ironwood.
He was born June 13, 1958, in Wakefield, the son of Elmer A. "Bert" and Wilma J. (Tucker) Minier. Elmer attended Wakefield schools.
His hobbies were rummage sales, riding his moped and spending time at the Holiday Station Store in Wakefield.
Elmer was loved by his family and many friends and will be sadly missed by all.
Surviving are his mother, Wilma of Wakefield; a sister, Sharon (Darrell) DeMarte of Manitowish Waters, Wis.; his brother-in-law, Gerald Raymond of Merriweather; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Elmer was preceded in death by his father, Bert, on Oct. 21, 1976; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Shirley Raymond and Sharlette and Walter Johnson.
At the family's request, cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be at Lakeside Memorial Chapel, on Friday, Sept. 24, beginning at 4 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m., with Pastor John D. Wenger of Grace Baptist Church officiating.
Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., Wakefield, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
