Doris Carol Lindberg, 86, of Bruce's Crossing went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 1, 2019, with her loving family at Westgate in Ironwood.
Doris was born on March 23, 1933, daughter of the late Onnie and Toini Mattson both deceased. United in marriage to Robert Norman Juopperi (deceased) and remarried Reino Lindberg (deceased) residing in Bruce's Crossing.
Doris was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Paynesville, Michigan. She loved to garden, socialize and play cards with friends and employed Settler's Co-op, Tulppos and the Forestry in Watersmeet. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
Surviving are three daughters, Gay (Roger) Fleming, Gwen (Roger) Cremeans and Wendy (Tom) Blooming; four stepchildren, Douglas, Terry, Brian and Randy Lindberg; three sisters, Donna (Robert) Antilla, Darlene (Mike) Juhola and Darcy (Mike) Juntti; two brothers, Rodney (Betty, deceased) Mattson and Roger (Michele) Mattson; and numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husbands, Doris was preceded in death by a son, Robert Mark Juopperi; a brother, Raymond Mattson; and a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Roger Gay.
Out of respect for her wishes, cremation will take place.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 8, at 11 a.m. (EDT), preceded by visitation at 10 a.m. (EDT) at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Paynesville, with the Rev. Kay Richter officiating.
Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery, Bruce Crossing.
Luncheon will follow at Twilly's in Bruce Crossing.
Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., in Wakefield is assisting the family.
