TROUT CREEK, Mich. – Donna Maria (nee Donato) Spradlin, 76, of Trout Creek, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Donna was born on Dec. 31, 1947, in Chicago, the daughter of Frank T. and Carmelita (Garcia) Donato.

Donna is survived by her loving son, Ron E. Thompson; her loving companion, George J. Kehrer; her dear grandson, Ronnie A. Thompson; and her furry-faced daughter, Willow. Donna had many wonderful friends and she enjoyed spending time with them.

Her favorite things were listening to her son play guitar and sing and singing with him; spending time and riding bikes with her dear George and seeing the beautiful gardens he created in their yard. They had 25 marvelous years together.

Donna is also survived by her former husband, Tom Spradlin, who always was a wonderful stepdad to Ron.

She loved horses, dogs, butterflies and cooking for George. Her family meant the world to her. Donna had a special bond with trees and loved nature and wildlife. She loved photography, taking photos of her son's band, beautiful yard, wildlife, sunsets and loved going to waterfalls and taking pictures of them, and of her faithful dog, Willow.

Special thanks to her sister in-heart, Brenda Fesnick, who called her every day just to see how she was. Thanks to all who always sent love, cards, gifts and well wishes.

Also, big thanks and appreciation to her son, Ron, and companion, George, for always being there for her. She loved them more than life itself. George took care of her through this battle and she couldn't have done it without him.

Cremation has taken place.

A celebration of Donna's life will be held at a later date.
