EWEN, Mich. - Dennis Richard Cummings, 72, of Ewen, formerly of Davison, passed away peacefully Friday evening, March 21, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Dennis was born on April 6, 1941, in Flint, the son of Willis J. and Lola B. (Smith) Cummings.  He graduated from Davison High School and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force.

Afer 30 years of service, Dennis retired from AC Delco in Flint and was a member of United Automobile Workers Local 651.  He was a former member and past treasurer of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Davison.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, Willis "Bill," Flint, and Mark (Dana), Davison; a daughter, Dawn Clark, Davison; five grandsons; a brother, Willis (Liguori), Stuart, Fla.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ed and Linda Lannet, Bruce Crossing; his sister-in-law, Amanda (Sam) Brady, Bruce Crossing; several nieces and nephews, including two special nieces, Alexis and Kaitlyn Brady, both of Bruce Crossing; numerous cousins; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Janeane Husted and Mazie Gleason.

A memorial service will be held later in the spring.
