Daniel T.
Jurakovich
October 2, 1953 – March 13, 2025
ANVIL, Mich. - Daniel T. Jurakovich, age 71, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, surrounded by his immediate family, shortly after meeting his great-granddaughter, Eden.
Daniel was born Oct. 2, 1953, to Joseph and Inez (Krainak) Jurakovich. He graduated from A.D. Johnston High School. He had various jobs from mechanic to truck driver.
On Aug. 16, 1980, he married Susan Johnson in Ramsay. Dan was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley, Wisconsin.
Dan is survived by his wife of nearly 45 years, Susan; a daughter, Paulette (Adam) Clemens; a son, Dan (Jody); two grandsons, Jonathan (Cambria Rollins) Clemens and Matthew (Carissa) Clemens; and great-granddaughters, Eden Clemens and Evelyn and Ellie May. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins and too many close friends to list.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leslie and Eunice Johnson, his siblings, Barbara and David; his brothers-in-law and his sister-in-law.
Dan enjoyed so many things from working on cars, small engines, woodworking, bird watching and even cutting grass. He most of all loved people. Dan always had an extra spot at the table for a friend in need. He was quick witted and you knew he liked you by how much sass he gave you. He will be greatly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 5, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 404 Iron St., in Hurley, with the Rev. Hrudaya Raju Sunkara, celebrant.
