WHITE PINE, Mich. - Cody Michael Letson, age 37, of White Pine, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota, after battling a serious illness. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Cody was born at the Ontonagon Memorial Hospital in 1988, and grew up in Ontonagon. He attended the Ontonagon Area School District where he excelled in sports. Cody enjoyed spending time outdoors camping, fishing and swimming in Lake Superior. He also enjoyed his job as a sawyer.

Cody loved his family, friends and his fur babies! He was a great husband, son, brother, friend and uncle.

Cody is survived by his wife, Danielle; his father-in-law, Clarence Cook (Jean); two sisters-in-law, Heather Kalla (Brian) and Alicia Cook (Robert); his mother, Tammy (Letson) Jousma; two brothers, Timmy (Claire) and Tommy; four stepbrothers, Wayne (Melissa), Josh, Sean (Rachel) and Jeff (Skye); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Rusty; his grandparents; and his mother-in-law, Karen Cook.

A celebration of Cody's life will take place on Saturday, Aug. 23, beginning at 1 p.m. EDT, at Cooky's Camp in Matchwood.
